Specialty Diver

PADI UNDERWATER NAVIGATOR DIVER

Course Objective:

This course teaches you to know where you are underwater.  How to navigate to a specific location and how to safely return.

Requirements: 

·        Minimum age 10

·        PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water

 Diver OR equivalent certification from another organization

Time Requirement:        2 hrs class room (self-study-read Course material)

                                    Minimum Open Water Training: three dives over one day

Course Materials:         Adventures in Diving Manual, Nav-Pak which includes Nav-Finder, manual, video, and log insert

Course Goals:

• Learn underwater navigation techniques, planning, organization, and potential problems.
• Study natural underwater navigation patterns
• Estimate distances underwater
• Sharpen your compass skills

Specialty Recognition: Certification card, Patch, and Certificate.  Specialty certification qualifies for Master Scuba Diver

Your Adventures in Diving Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive counts towards one of your dives for Specialty certification
