Specialty Diver

PADI ENRICHED AIR DIVER

Course Objective:

Learn preparation and diving procedures involved with enriched air diving. Learn about oxygen technical issues, nitrox tables, and safe and proper use of oxygen enriched air equipment.  You can extend your time underwater, you may feel less tired after multiple dives, and you can get back into the water sooner between dives.  

Requirements: 

·        Minimum age 15

·        PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water

Diver OR equivalent certification from another organization

Time Requirement:         2 to 3 hrs class room (self-study-read Course material)

Course Materials:         PADI Enriched Air Crew Pak, including Enriched Air 32 percent table, and 36 Enriched Air Table and Equivalent Air Depth/Oxygen Exposure Table

Course Goals:

• Understanding the safe use of Nitrox and other enriched air
• Become proficient with use of special tables
• Learn use of Nitrox testing equipment and procedures required to use Nitrox

Specialty Recognition: Certification card, Patch, and Certificate.  Specialty certification qualifies for Master Scuba Diver.  This certification is needed as a prerequisite for technical diving.

Your Adventures in Diving Enriched Air Adventure Dive counts towards one of your Specialty certification dives.
