IDC Tuition

Class cost for scheduled programs $1500. A non-refundable deposit of $600 is due at time of registration. Final Payment is due 10-days prior to start of the IDC.
The PADI Instructor Evaluation (IE) fee of $460 is not included in the tuition and is payable to PADI at the IE.
Plus $100.00 PADI Instructor application fee.

Prerequisite Requirements

To qualify for training as a PADI Open Water Instructor, you must:

PADI Assistant Instructor certification or be an instructor in good standing with another training organization for at least six months (check with a PADI Course Director or PADI Office for qualifying credentials.)
Hold a dive certification for at least six months
Have 60 logged dives that include night, deep and navigation dives to participate in the IDC, and 100 dives are needed to participate in the Instructor Exam (IE)
Proof of CPR training within the last 24 months
Medical clearance signed by a physician

Required materials for IDC

IDC Crew Pack (60034)
All current user manuals for Open Water, Adventures in Diving, Rescue, and Divemaster.
Current PADI Instructor Manual (71120)
The candidates must have the 16 self-study Knowledge Reviews from the IDC Candidate Workbook completed prior to the start of the IDC.
